The IPENZ UK Branch Centenary Event 2014

The year 2014 marked the century since the original body, the New Zealand Society of Civil Engineers, was formed and IPENZ hosted events throughout the year to mark this auspicious milestone.

As part of these celebrations, the UK Branch held a special event in July at New Zealand House in London to celebrate the lives and works of two famous Pioneers of New Zealand Engineering.

Keith Moore from The Royal Society gave a presentation on Ernest Rutherford, father of nuclear physics, and a team from McLaren gave a presentation on Bruce McLaren, legendary motor racing driver, engineer and designer.

These are some photos taken on the night.
